We're thrilled to announce two powerful new features that are now live across both the provider and client portals: the AI Chat Assistant and the Questionnaire Builder. These tools represent months of development guided by feedback from clinicians, clinic directors, and the families we serve.
AI Chat Assistant
The AI Chat Assistant brings on-demand, specialized clinical guidance directly into your workflow — no tab-switching, no searching through documentation, no waiting for a colleague to respond.
What It Does
The assistant is a conversational AI trained specifically for behavioral health. It can help with:
- Treatment planning: Ask for evidence-based intervention strategies tailored to specific skill domains, age groups, and diagnoses.
- Session documentation: Get help drafting progress notes, session summaries, and clinical narratives.
- Clinical questions: Explore topics like prompt fading hierarchies, reinforcement schedules, and assessment interpretation in real time.
- Home practice guidance: Families can ask about activities, strategies, and techniques to support their child between sessions.
How It Works
The AI Chat is accessible from the navigation bar in both portals. Conversations are organized into threads that you can revisit, continue, or delete at any time. The assistant remembers the context within each conversation, so you can ask follow-up questions naturally.
For providers, the assistant uses clinical terminology and provides detailed, structured responses. For families, it adapts to a more accessible communication style with practical, jargon-free guidance.
Privacy & Compliance
All conversations are encrypted end-to-end and stored in compliance with HIPAA requirements. Your Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is never used to train or fine-tune AI models. Each conversation is private to your account.
Questionnaire Builder
The Questionnaire Builder empowers providers to create custom assessments, intake forms, and checklists — all within the Spectrayan platform, without any coding or external tools.
Key Capabilities
- Flexible question types: Multiple choice, Likert scales, text input, yes/no, rating scales, and more.
- Conditional logic: Show or hide questions based on previous answers, creating dynamic forms that adapt to the respondent.
- Scoring rules: Define automatic scoring for standardized-style assessments, with customizable thresholds and domain groupings.
- Templates: Start from pre-built templates for common use cases (intake forms, parent questionnaires, behavioral checklists) or build from scratch.
- Assignment & tracking: Assign questionnaires to specific clients, set due dates, and track completion status from your dashboard.
Client-Side Experience
When a provider assigns a questionnaire, the client receives a notification in their portal. The form is mobile-friendly and can be completed at the family's convenience. Responses are submitted directly to the provider's dashboard — no printing, scanning, or emailing required.
Data Integration
Completed questionnaires feed directly into the client's treatment record. Assessment scores appear alongside goal progress data, session notes, and other clinical information, giving providers a unified view of each client's experience.
